LEVEL CROSSING REMOVAL PROJECT
The Level Crossing Removal Project was established by the Victorian Government to oversee the largest rail infrastructure project in the state's history. The project will remove 75 level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne by 2025, in addition to upgrading or constructing more than 27 train stations, laying many kilometres of new track and making associated rail improvements. The T Projects team are excited to be working with LXRP, local communities, artists, arts organisations and the creative industries to integrate artworks and creative features into the program of works, enhancing these urban amenities and contributing to a sense of place and local identity. So far we have led the public art commissioning on Cherry Street, Werribee; Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing; Werribee Street, Werribee; Ferguson Street, Williamstown; Hallam Road, Hallam and we have drafted the arts strategies and art commission briefs for Chelsea Road, Chelsea; Edithvale Road, Edithvale and Bondi Road, Bonbeach with more projects coming soon.
