Olivia Poloni has been working as a visual art curator, writer & project manager for the past 15 years. She sits on the City of Moreland Arts Advisory Board, Caves Gallery Board & is a Mentor for the University of Melbourne Access Program. Recent exhibition projects include - In Her Words, a photography exhibition focusing on women behind and in front of the camera; Lisa Roet's Asialink Arts Skywalker public art commission in Beijing and Heather B Swann's Asialink Arts solo-exhibition in Tokyo. Olivia was a board member for the Melbourne Women in Film Festival (MWFF). Previous positions include Curator at Craft Victoria; Co-Director at Sutton Gallery; Assistant Curator for the Dong Gang Photography Festival, South Korea; Project Manager for Asialink Arts at the Setouchi Triennale, Japan; Curatorial Consultant at Galerie Desaga, Germany and Co-Director at Nellie Castan Gallery. She was the Australian communications lead on the Sally Smart and Entang Wiharso two-person exhibition at the National Gallery of Indonesia.
For 2020 Olivia is developing an exhibition for Centre for Contemporary Photography’s Melbourne Arts Festival presentation and working with early career women photo-based artists for an exhibition, publication and public program at Blindside ARI supported by The City of Melbourne.
