Public Art Mentoring
There are rapidly growing public art opportunities with budgets ranging from $50,000 to $1m+, however this area of practice is notoriously challenging and can be overwhelming for artists. It is hard to get that first commission and there are very few practical training opportunities to develop the skills required.

The Public Art Mentoring Program brings together leading sector professionals involved at every stage of the development and delivery of public art to share their specialist knowledge and perspectives and break down what is required to win, plan and deliver large commissions.

This is a professional development program for artists with little or no public art experience, who wish to develop and expand their practice to work within the public realm. We offer four mentoring programs to suit different needs, including one to one sessions, portfolio review and an annual group mentoring seminar series.
Mentoring Programs
Introduction to Public Art
Are you a practising artist who is interested in public art but are not sure if it's right for you? Join T Projects Director, Victoria Jones for her Introduction to Public Art Seminar, exploring the field and designed to help artists decide whether this is an area of practice they want to take on.

Seminar Series
The Seminar Series - People and Process, has been specially designed to step you through the people and processes involved in public art commissioning. We bring together some of the biggest names in the field, including architects, landscape architects, engineers, and specialist fabricators. Each week our presenting partners will talk you through their roles, perspectives, and showcase precedent projects they have delivered. The 2024 series is now open for applications.

1-2-1 Mentoring

Or you may have been commissioned and are feeling a little overwhelmed? T Projects now offers 1-2-1 artist mentoring services to assist you at whatever stage you are at.

Review Sessions
We offer Submission or Portfolio Review sessions for artists who may have submissions pending or who may have been unsuccessful in previous applications, shortlisting, or concept submissions.
